My name is Jim Melton, the owner and inspector at Melton Inspection Services. Born and raised in Central Maryland, we know the homes here better than most. I have always had a love for homes of all shapes and sizes and how they are built, from the design of new homes to the history of old homes. Growing up and working here for so many years, I have become familiar with all our local communities and what makes each one unique.

I have an extensive background in performing mold assessments, mold remediation, waterproofing, water mitigation, home repairs, and home restoration services. I started performing home inspections and environmental testing in 2007, and for 12 years, I worked for a very successful multi-inspection firm. Then, in 2020 I started my own company. Since 2007, I have completed well over 3500+ home inspections and thousands of environmental tests. I have also served as an Expert Witness in a home inspection case involving a landlord and a tenant, further ensuring our level of skill.

I am very detail-oriented, and I pride myself on making sure my clients understand exactly what the report contains so they can make the best investment and keep it looking like their dream home for years to come.
